Lawyers for the State and the Garda Commissioner are to appeal the High Court's decision in favour of convicted murderer Graham Dwyer over the retention and accessing of his mobile phone data.

The ruling last month forms part of Dwyer’s bid to overturn his conviction.

A High Court ruling on the retention and use of mobile phone data, which boosts Graham Dwyer's bid to appeal against his murder conviction, is to be appealed by the State.

The meeting was called following possible drone activity at two London airports.
